Mr. Kunal BhartiDirector, Alexa HealthCare
What from the clinical perspective we get, there was lot of waiting time, lot of confusion that the patients were having at the reception desk. So, that has been removed completely because the patients can, each and every time, see their current queue number in real time for their appointment and which doctor they have to see. So, it is a very good thing they have implemented. This is the way we are moving digitally forward in the healthcare industry. So, it’s a great thing.
Mr. Subrata MukherjeeCentre Manager, Apollo Clinics Jessore Road and Chinar Park
Once the appointment is booked, patients get an SMS. Similarly, when the patients come, the sequence - first come and first serve - which we were practicing earlier has been abandoned. The patients are booked on a time-slot basis. They need not come early and will come as per scheduled appointment time. The sequence is created automatically by the system. So, there is no human personal involvement. Patients need not bother about which patient is going or whether their name has been deliberately delayed. This kind of situation doesn’t arrive at the reception. Monitor display system has a good advantage for the patients because they can easily visualize their position in the system that after how many patients they can get a chance to see the doctor and also some general issues like they can see their name on the display and there’s satisfaction on their part also.
Dr. Amarjeet SinghCOO, Apollo Clinic Newtown
Everything is digitized. Patients can themselves see on the screen that when is their turn going to come. Another advantage we feel is that there is a lot of transparency in terms of managing the queues over there. Nobody can choose a patient, that okay, I will be preferred over the other patients. So, whenever you have an appointment, you will be going as per your appointment schedule.
