    Dr. Sabita Biswas is a Senior Consultant in the department of Transfusion Medicine at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata. She passed her MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi University and completed her post graduation in Pathology, from Post Graduate institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh. She subsequently worked as faculty in Haematology department PGIMER, Chandigarh and then as Professor and Head of Transfusion Medicine at Medical College, Chandigarh; where she established the MD Transfusion Medicine course. She is member of several national and international scientific bodies in the speciality of Transfusion Medicine and also recipient of the INSA visiting fellowship. She is a reviewer for Indian Journal of Medical Research, Blood Transfusion and Asian Journal of Transfusion Sciences and has over 70 scientific publications in reputed National and International journals.
