Dr. Uday Sankar Das is a Cardiologist in Kolkata with a career marked by brilliant academic and professional achievements. He has over 500 femoral CAG, over 300 radial CAG, nearly 125 angioplasty including primary PCI, bifurcation, LMCA and CTO, over 150 VVIR PPM, 50 DDDR PPM and a few ICD implantations to his credit. Further, he has independently undertaken PDA device closure, and peripheral angio and angioplasty. Apart from this, Dr. Uday has assisted in more than 30 cases of BMV, ASD and RSOV device closure, and assisted in CRT implantation procedure. Backed by rich clinical and surgical experience, Dr. Uday can perform all kinds of echocardiography (TTE, TEE, 3D, STRAIN and for pediatric patients), interpret ECG, TMT, Holter and HUTT reporting, and offers numerous advanced cardiological services. Deeply knowledgeable in his medical specialty, he earned his MBBS from N.R.S. Medical College, Kolkata where he was conferred honors in Biochemistry, followed by Certificate Course in Evidence Based Diabetes Management (CCEBDM) from Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), and MD (General Medicine) from Medical College, Kolkata. Dr. Uday devoted a great part of his career to pursuing his research interests. He completed a research course in HIV/STD accredited by the University of Washington and Transradial Intervention Course (TRICO) from Ahmedabad. He also has multiple publications to his credit, including a review article - ‘Cardiovascular Manifestations of Dengue’ in JIMA, a study - ‘Profile of Risk Factors and Clinical Presentations of Coronary Artery Disease in Young Indians with Special Reference to Serum Testosterone’ in Indian Heart Journal, and a case study in Clinical Cancer Investigation Journal. Presently, he is working on a study - “Comparison Study of Effect of Ivaradine Versus Beta Blocker Therapy in Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome with LV Systolic Dysfunction in a Tertiary Care Hospital, West Bengal” - that is in the process of publication. Moreover, Dr. Uday has been keenly involved with several conferences, such as EZECHO, Eastern India Interventional Cardiology Conference, INDIA LIVE, EURO PCR, SCI, and NIC, and boasts a track record of presenting posters in APICON, Ludhiana (2014), and making multiple atypical case presentations in API, West Bengal Chapter. He actively participated in CSI, Kolkata (2017), Mumbai (2018), and “Torrent Young Scholar Award” competition in Eastern India in 2017.
