Certainly. It’s called occlusion therapy and is meant to make for deeper absorption of medications into the skin. You need to bath in lukewarm water first, followed by patting yourself dry and applying your prescribed cream, ointment, emollient, etc. on the affected areas. Finally, dress the areas up in plastic food wraps. The non-porous sealed barrier that plastic films create let maximum active ingredients of the medicine penetrate into your skin. It also traps heat that contributes to medicine absorption. However, you should consult your dermatologist before taking up this seemingly easy home remedy as it can intensify medicine absorption way too much.
