Constipation in pregnancy can be prevented by eating a fibrous diet. Eat as much fruits, veggies, whole grains, bran, etc. as you can. You should also be drinking plenty of fluids including water. High fiber diet and increased fluid intake help get things going out easily. Exercises should be regular too in your daily routine, whether you walk, swim or cycle as these stimulate the bowels. Go for natural sources of iron.
