Manic depression or bipolar disorder is a group of mood disorders characterized by cyclical disturbances in behavior, thoughts, or mood. These disorders feature alternating expansive, elevated, or irritable moods, also known as manic episodes. They even encompass feelings of worthlessness, inability to concentrate, and fatigue, collectively known as depressive episodes. The disorders tend to vary based on the severity of these two phases.
