Type 1 diabetes is a chronic condition wherein the pancreas release little to no insulin. The insulin-producing cells of the body are themselves under attack so blood sugar control becomes weakened. Patients supplement their daily requirements of insulin with external doses. Not only is type 1 diabetes the more harmful type of diabetes, but it can adversely affect fertility in men. As a result, type 1 diabetes patients need special medication and treatments from specialists during conception.
