OCD requires cognitive behavioral techniques or prescription medication to be cured entirely, but several home remedies exist. Some of the most common modes of treatment include: • Milk Thistle: This plant helps manage OCD symptoms, thanks to the presence of silymarin, a flavonoid complex responsible for increasing production of mood-related neurotransmitter serotonin. • Borage Oil: Borage oil is rich in gamma-linolenic acid, which boasts anti-inflammatory properties. Regular doses make people feel less anxious. However, pregnant women and liver disease patients should avoid this substance. • Zinc: This important trace element is found in beans, seafood, nuts, dairy products, and animal meats. Zinc is a neurotransmitter, which makes it essential for regulating the body and brain’s response to stress. • Music Therapy: A lot of studies indicate the importance of music for individuals dealing with anxiety and depression. According to researchers, music helps patients focus on something other than obsessive thoughts, decreases their stress levels, and redirects thoughts completely.
