If your hair loss is caused by menopause, pregnancy, or other hormonal changes, no treatment is necessary. The problem will end as soon as your body becomes acclimatized to the new developments. Hair fall due to nutritional deficiencies, however, may be addressed through dietary changes or supplement use. Any medical condition causing hair loss must be treated directly, instead of merely the symptoms. Female pattern baldness, on the other hand, requires treatments and medications like minoxidil topical solution, prescription spironolactone pills, corticosteroid injections, and topical tretinoin.
