Ketogenic diets are focused on the combination of 75% fat, 20% protein and 5% carbs every day. You tend to shed calories in a keto diet through higher protein and decreased carbs intake. As the body converts protein and fat into carbs, we tend to burn additional calories. Keto diet actively suppresses hunger hormones like ghrelin and leptin so that we feel satiated for longer. They boost metabolism and fuel utilization by bettering insulin sensitivity. Sugar conversion into fat is curbed and fat burning through physical activities goes up in keto diets.
