A woman’s body needs time to heal after ovarian cyst surgery. They may experience tiredness and take daytime naps for several days after they go home. However, an important part of the recovery process is to stay as mobile as possible. The patient needs to take a couple of short walks in the first few days and then build up gradually. Within a week of surgery, women should have no problem walking slowly and steadily for up to an hour. They will be back to normal levels of exercise within two weeks. But they should avoid heavy lifting for a period of four weeks.
