Sometimes, life experiences like traumatic events may serve as triggers for anxiety disorders in many people who are already susceptible to anxiety. Inherited traits could also cause this problem. Anxiety could also be connected to underlying health problems. Some medical problems that are often associated with anxiety, include diabetes, heart disease, drug withdrawal or misuse, thyroid issues, irritable bowel syndrome, alcohol or medication withdrawal, respiratory disorders, etc.
