Breast cancer screening tests are conducted in every major Indian hospital to diagnose breast cancer at the earliest. Just visit one of the leading cancer hospitals in the country and pick the suitable form of therapy: • Breast Cancer Tumor Markers: Tumor markers are biomarkers found in the blood, urine, or body tissues that may become elevated by the presence of cancer cells in the body. Increased levels of carcinoma antigen 15-3 (CA 15-3) and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) in blood tests may indicate breast cancer. • Mammogram: This x-ray of the breast is needed to check for breast ailments in women who don’t show any symptoms of breast problem. Two views of each breast is needed to discover cancer. • MRI: MRI is done along with mammogram for screening women who are at greater risk of developing breast cancer. It is even used to test suspicious areas that are discovered only through mammogram. • Ultrasound: Breast ultrasound is used for targeting a particular area of concern in the mammogram. It helps differentiate between solid masses and cysts and can even help tell the difference between malignant and benign tumors.
