Looking for a COVID-19 test?

CareClues partner hospitals and clinics have been approved by ICMR to conduct COVID-19 RT-PCR test.

I have acne prone skin. I do not have much time on a daily basis to take care of my skin. I have a small baby and a job so I can't get enough time for myself to go the parlour or visit a clinic. Recently my acne increased. Can you tell me something simple for my skin care routine that would be effective and help to tackle pimples.

Follow a simple skin care routine. Clean your face properly but gently twice a day and use a mild cleanser. Then apply astringent. Finally use a light, non-comedogenic moisturizer which does not aggravate acne. Always choose oil-free and water based skin care products so that they don't clog your pores. If you use makeup, only opt for light and oil-free foundation and stay away from heavy makeup products. Never go to bed without removing your makeup or cleaning your face. Don't pick or squeeze your pimples. Lastly, don't step out without applying sunscreen, preferably a gel-based sunscreen. Consult a dermatologist and he/she will guide you on the best treatment for your condition.
